This is a fully automatic tensioner with a retainer system that allows infinitely fine adjustment using a low-rate spring tension. In addition, the ball retainer has two more balls than the stock ball retainer for the MKII series to distribute the load and to consider the life of the shaft and race parts.
In order to prevent the chain from being stretched more than necessary due to the thermal expansion of the crankcase, cylinder block and cylinder head caused by the heat generated by the engine, a 6mm thick rubber bushing is installed at the end of the tension rod. This tensioner is designed to protect the cam chain, idler and roller as well as the stock tensioner. Due to its structure, the MKII's full-auto type does not have enough stroke, but the stroke of our product is longer than that of the Z1's semi-auto type. Therefore, it is suitable not only for stock vehicles but also for vehicles that require more rod protrusion due to surface grinding.
Furthermore, the inner spring and the rod structure are modernized to minimize the change of spring reaction force from the most retracted state to the full stroke, so that the proper tension can be maintained until the full extension.
