Good news for the owners of ZEPHYR 750 with bad seat opening / closing.
This part is almost always the reason why the seat does not open and close properly. The cylinder in the seat lock is made of resin, and an iron arm moves this resin to open and close the lock, so after many years of use, the corner of the cylinder will decrease and it will become difficult to open and close the lock.
Especially, if the seat is warped by the seat processing or the lock position is slightly changed when the seat is changed to the aftermarket one, the force will be applied more than when the stock one is used, and the corner of this resin will be damaged.
There is also a solution to replace the whole lock, but it means replacing the whole key, so you will have two keys, one for the main key and one for the seat! It is troublesome, isn't it? In addition, depending on the year, some parts may have been discontinued.
So this part is made out of machined aluminum! If you are worried about the opening and closing of the seat, why don't you replace it?
Points of Attention
* If there may be an instruction manual included, it will be written in Japanese.
This is what the OEM should have been, although i have had my 1994 Zephyr 750 since new and the plastic/resin oem lasted 28 years so the Bagus should last a very long time.Bagus and Ems post same price as buying an oem complete seat lock,Bagus is better,View Detail
I bought this product because of the advertisement. The installation was not very clear from the Instruction Manual that came with it. I had to be a little bit smart to install the White Zircon parts, because I couldn't install them on the body of the car after installing them on the Gold bars because of the clearance. So, I installed the White Zircon parts in the company housing and then fitted them to the Gold rods. As for the effect, I think it will be determined in the years to come. The movement is Smooth, so it seems to be OK in the beginning.View Detail
My Seat stopped working and after researching I came across this product and purchased it. Seat managed to pry it open, replace the part, and it was fixed. What kind of parts are they? I thought it was a part that I had been wondering about, and now the mystery is solved. Just price highView Detail
Net information that the Seat on the Zephyr 750 will not be able to remove the Seat if some parts break The description caught my eye It certainly makes me wonder how to remove it if it breaks, phew! The Motorcycle I'm riding has never been replaced or serviced once since I bought it, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get it off before it breaks I bought this product to replace it with (*It would have been nice to check the condition of the actual item beforehand.)
advantage Plastic's Seat lock that has been deteriorating over time was partially scraped off, but it looks fine No Other Joint Parts (Photo No3) was on the verge of breaking in both places If I hadn't thought of replacing this product, I would have been unable to remove Seat at worst I'm glad ・Material:It's an aluminum Seat lock part, but it's solid and will last for a long time Item I forgot to take a picture of the joint that is included in the package I forgot to take a picture of the joint with Key, but it's a little bit bigger than the original joint The shape is slippery and hard to break (Only one of them.) The Instruction Manual is included in the package Then it's about 30 minutes of work (If you work on your own, you are responsible for your own work.)
Disadvantage ・Material:Aluminum Seat Lock products are a bit more expensive I think this is because I can't produce them myself, and the production process makes the price of gold more expensive That's why I'm happy with it It's a one-of-a-kind product because it's something that Makers don't produce It would have been better if one of the joints had been included in the package (Normally, I don't need it because I divert it and use it, but if it's deteriorating, I'm not sure where they sell it No3Joint) If you work on it yourself, there are many small parts, so when you install or remove it, the Bolt or parts fall off as it is easy to lose the parts in the event of an accident, you can quickly find the parts that have fallen by spreading a newspaper or the like on hand I think it's a good idea to do the work afterView Detail
Originally I thought of OEM, but I found it by chance. The original key can be used and the operation is also a very good item with Smooth. ? ? ? But it was awesome if the price was a bit cheaper.View Detail
