■17R Stage E Cylinder Head Based on the stock head shape, large diameter valve intake: 26mm / exhaust: Adopt 22.5mm. (12V Monkey stock valve diameter is intake: 19mm / exhaust: 16mm) This is SP Takegawa's original cylinder head which adopts the most suitable valve pinching angle, combustion chamber shape and port shape for large diameter valves. The port diameter of the stock head is 14mm for both intake and exhaust, while the port diameter of the 17R stage is 14mm for intake and exhaust: 24.5mm / exhaust: Larger diameter of 19mm.In addition, the adoption of a 3-dimensional port shape, combined with the larger diameter of the valve and port, makes it possible for more intake and exhaust gases to flow smoothly. Valve: (Intake 26mm / Exhaust 22.5mm Valve stem shaft diameter 4.5mm) The weight increase due to the larger diameter of the valve is kept to a minimum by the narrower stem shaft and waist machining. Valve Springs: The single valve spring with unequal pitch (2-stage pitch) is adopted for optimum spring rate and suppresses surging at high rpm.
■Sports Camshaft An oil line is provided in the center of the camshaft to guide the oil to the cam sprocket and improve the durability and lubrication effect of the cam chain. The camshaft journals are supported by ball bearings on both ends to reduce frictional resistance to the camshaft during starting and at low speeds.
After purchasing 17R Stage E, you can change to 17R Stage +D specification. You can upgrade to 17R stage+D by purchasing 17R stage E decompression camshaft kit.
■Φ52V cylinder (aluminum sleeve cylinder) The V-cylinder is a cylinder with vertical and horizontal fins to improve the cooling effect at low speeds. The longitudinal fins have the effect of cooling the heat rising from the bottom of the cylinder when the vehicle is stopped or at low speed. It changes the appearance from the stock cylinder and enhances the custom image. A stick temperature sensor can be connected to the side of the cylinder, and the cylinder temperature can be measured by using SP Takegawa's compact LCD thermometer (with stick temperature sensor) or various meters with thermometers separately.
■Piston The piston has a molybdenum coating on the skirt for better initial adhesion.
