The hooks enable smooth loading even in trampos with low cargo heights such as minivans. The hook is attached using the right side axle shaft hole of the front fork, and the fork is contracted by the tie-down belt. The outward offset also contributes to preventing damage to the forks by tie-down hooks and ratchets.
