The Grom was clearly designed for a 60kg Asian and not for a 100kg Asian like myself. Even my wife at 70kg is pushing it. The stock shock simply cannot handle the both of us at once, bottoming out with a combined 170kg+. Yes I know we are over the specified weight limit, but have you seen what goes onto these bikes in Asia?Fitted this today, set the preload to approximately halfway and went out on a test ride. Definitely feels firmer and more steady than stock when alone and equally better when two up.I also installed lowering brackets as these are very slightly longer than stock and my wife already finds the stock slightly too high for her. With a 25mm lowering kit, the bike ended up exactly the same height as before, so at least I did not raised the height for her. Still manageable but not her preferred outcome. Had to take a point off due to the C spanners for adjustment not being included. I will not mind paying a little more if they are but I have to source them from Amazon instead. For reference, ER32 and ER40 are the right size although I got more in the set I bought.
