The headlight bulb burns out frequently and I changed it to a new battery→ so no problem....
I measured the voltage with a measuring tester just to be sure, and it was clearly below 12Bolt.
After much investigation, I found that there is a possibility that a component called Regulator may have failed.
Regulator
[Regulator].
A device that stably supplies electricity generated by a motorcycle to a battery.
If the Regulator fails, there is no electricity supplied to the Battery and various Troubles seem to occur.
The role of the Regulator is to
If the electricity from the Battery is insufficient, the generator connected to the Engine will supply power. 。
Electricity from the generator is the same as household electricity Exchange." So, Plus and Minus are distinguished the same as dry cell batteries. Direct Current" must be converted to 。 The Regulator does the conversion.
The current from the Battery is supplied to the lights, etc., in a stable manner, and if it breaks, the lights cannot be supplied in a stable manner, and if it breaks, the lights cannot be supplied in a stable manner?
Symptoms of Regulator failure
The lights on the Headlight and Meter do not brighten or dim suddenly and are not stable.
If you hold the ○Brake or turn on the Blinker, the brightness is linked to the brightness.
○○Headlight bulb went out, so I replaced it, and after a while it went out again. 。
If you have such symptoms, it may be a sign of Regulator failure.
→In my case, I had frequent bulb breakage, so it fits the case here.
How to check for Regulator malfunctions
The voltage at that time is displayed when the measurement range is set to DC and the tester is applied to the Plus and Minus terminals of the battery.
(1) If the voltage is below 12V at Idling and the voltage does not increase even if the RPM is increased, or
(2) The voltage is above 14V and the voltage increases further when the rotation is increased.
If (1) and (2) are confirmed, Regulator failure.
And in the early stage of regulator failure, position lamps and blinker bulbs frequently cut out.
I heard that if you leave it as it is, the weakest part will start to fail more and more, so I replaced it. I was also afraid of leakage of electricity (laugh).
Replacement procedure.
Remove the side cover of the Right Side.
↓
(2) Battery should be disconnected for safety!
*Terminals are in the order of Minus→Plus.
↓
(3) You can see what looks like a tiny air-cooled CylinderBed near the Swing ArmArm. → This is the Regulator.
↓
Remove the coupler attached to the regulator.
↓
?Remove the Bolt securing the Frame and Regulator. →Removal is completed. The appearance is just old and there is no external damage, but it must be broken...
↓
(6) Fix the new regulator to the frame.
↓
(7) Fit the Coupler, connect the Battery, put the Cover back on, and you are done.
after replacement
○Headlight lights are no longer unevenly lit.
○Blinker blinking also became more regular.
No abnormalities in ○Tester.
Since the parts are installed relatively close to the ground, will they deteriorate if used over a long period of time?
There is a risk of leakage of electricity, so if you notice any instability in the movement of lights, we recommend replacing them as soon as possible.
